Aurora Cigarbox Series - Porsche 904 Race Car

At the height of the popularity of its electric slot cars, Aurora decided to go after a piece of the diecast market by competing against Matchbox and Hot Wheels for the 1:64 Scale market. In an obvious play on the “Matchbox” theme, they decided to one-up Lesney by offering their cars in Cigarbox’s. Thus the Aurora Cigarbox/Speedline series.

This is the Porsche 904 Race Car from Aurora. Released 40+ years ago in the late 1960’s, this is in nice condition with minimal edgewear. The mint/cigarboxed version of these cars are $30+. We’ve priced this to reflect the edgewear; you will not find a nicer example at this price.
