Collection: LIDO

Lido was formed in 1947, in the Bronx, NY. They produced a limited number of beautiful plastic vehicles, as well as many other types of toys. Targeting the dimestore market, their toys were inexpensive as comparded to a lithograph Marx tin toy. It is because these toys were inexpensive that they are now so hard to find. The majority of them ended up in the hands of the children they wre intended for, leaving few unused examples for the collector markets that are seeking them today. Consequently they continue to rise in value, particularly when a Mint, or execellent condition version comes to market.

The company survived until the they sold out to Bala Corporation of Philadelphia, sometime in the lated 50's or early 60's
