This is a quite a rare find. First it is a Matchbox Transitional Superfast Mercury Cougar, released in 1970. Second, this is still in its original unopened 50+ year packaging.!
Collectors Note: Transitional Superfast vehicles are the older Regular Wheels castings, that were re-released with the new Superfast wheels. Only a small portion of the old regular wheel (1953-1968) castings were transitioned to the Superfast lineup.
It is a great cross-collectible, so if you collect Matchbox, Mercury, Cougar, or the Transitional Superfast models this will be a wonderful addition to your collection. (1:64 Scale)
