Treasure Hunts

This is the limited edition "chase car" series that insipired many other diecast mfg's to include limited edition models in the regular case packaging creating a vehicle that colletors had to search long and hard to acquire. Other mfgs came up with names like Gold Challenge & 2000 Logo (Matchbox: Green Machines (Greenlight) White Lightning (Johnny Lightning) and there are many others as well. Treasure Hunts are considered to be the most sought after newer models by Hot Wheels collectors, right on par with rare model variations.
