Corgi DeTomaso Mangusta Ghia 5000 (271-A1)

This is the Corgi DeTomaso Mangusta Ghia 5000 (271-A1) . This was released 40+ years ago, and was only made for one year - 1969. Thus, this is one of the harder Corgi models to find in any condition, let alone a nice working condition.  

The unique feature of this model was the removable chassis/drivetrain. The body separates from the chassis. We have tried to detail that for you in the photos. This car is in great condition  it has minimal playwear, and the roof aerial is gone, yet retains 95+% of its original paint. It also has both exhaust pipes, which is hard to find on these cars.

If you are an avid collector of Corgi, or DeTomaso you know that the Mint/Boxed versions of these cars go for well over $100 at auction if/when they are available for auction. We have priced this well below the last several Mint/Box auction prices to reflect the condition. It's our opion that you simply will not find a better example for this price!
