Corgi Chevrolet Corvair (1961)

This is the beautiful Chevrolet Corvair (229). This casting was released by Corgi in 1961. If you look carefully at this car you will see a nicely detailed engine and very nice rear window louvers. This is a beautifully done Corvair. This has almost no playwear, with just a couple of small nicks in the paint. It should be noted that this is a restoration, not an original. That is why we have priced well below the book value of a Mint/Boxed version - to reflect that it is indeed a restoration.Normally we do not sell restored items, but we have many customes that like them for train layouts and this was just too nice not to make available to our customers.  If you collect Corvairs, Chevy’s or Corgi this is an opportunity to add this beautiful 40+ year old piece to your collection.
