Corgi (266A-1) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

This is arguably the Holy Grail of Corgi collecting! It’s the (266A-1) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Released in 1968 following the famous movie, this is one of the most sought after Corgi models of all time.  If you are an avid Corgi collector, you know that the Mint/Boxed version of this car goes for well in excess of $375.

This car is in beautiful condition, with a couple things that need to be replaced. It is missing the little girl in the back seat, and the rear plastic wing, is easily removed has a broken tip. Both are easily replaced from a lesser quality model, of from a Corgi parts store. The other thing that needs to be replaced is the hand brake that operates the retractable side wings. Both wings are in near mint condition, but they are not fully extendable without the hand brake….once again this can come off a lesser quality model.

Since this is otherwise in near mint condition, we have decided to price this far below the Mint/Box price of $375+. That leaves plenty of room to replace these 3 items and have a near mint Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  If you collect Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, or Corgi you simply will not find a nicer quality example at this low of a price.
