This is one of Mattel’s smarter ideas for a series. This series is called Final Run. It is the last production variation of the casting, with final run graphics, to signify the retirement of a particular casting……..we wish more diecast firms would take the time to let us know when a casting was going out of production, and do so with style like this!

This is a great find. It is the Final Run variation of the Hot Wheels 55 Chevy casting. Introduced in 1982, they produced 31 variations before creating this last and final one 19 years later! If you collect Hot Wheels, Chevrolet, or Tri-Chevys this is a wonderful addition for your collection!
