Johnny Lightning Indianapolis 500 Champions set with 74 Hurst Oldsmobile 442 and 1974 Johnny Lightning McLaren

This came to us as part of a Johnny Lightning collection that we obtained at a very good price, we are therefore able to pass this along to our customers at lower than usual prices.

This is the beautiful 1974 Indy Pace Car and Winning McLaren driven by Johnny Lightning - The Johnny Lightning Special. It is from the JL Indianapolis 500 Champion Series, R-3 Release! It was released 25+ years ago in 1996.  The cars are mint/unopened; the blistercard shows its age.

Collectors Note: This is the only diecast 1974 Hurst Oldsmobile 442 convertible made by any diecast firm! Why: because GM never built the car in convertible form for the Pace car, it never made it to production. There was no actual convertible, the real pace car had removable roof and rear window sections giving it the appearance of a convertible. So this is the only one you will ever find.
