Matchbox Pontiac Firebird SE (USA Special Superfast Model)

This is a great find an arguably the most sought after of all Matchbox Firebirds. 30+ years ago in 1986, MB released this USA Special Superfast Pontiac Firebird SE.

What makes this car unique to the USA Special set is the LE Spiral SF Wheels. What makes this car even further of a rarity is that it was first produced with a black base, but then corrected to the white base that most of them have.

This is the black base model, and it has been 30 years since we've seen one in person and had this back in stock
