Gold Strikes are RC's CHASE vehicles (Like Treasure Hunts or White Lightnings) They are a small single digit % of each model. In this case only 6800 of the Red Alerts Chevelle's were produced, so this is one of a handful of the coveted Gold Strike versions. The rest are painted Red.
