Tomica - Hino Semi Cab with Tanker Trailer

We have just acquired a magnificent collection of vintage Tomica models from the 1970’s. There are many rare colors, and hard to find models, and they came from a prominent collection in Japan. Many of these models were never sold outside Japan.

This is a rare piece because it’s one of the early Hino castings, with an error on the casting. The baseplate of the Truck Cab says “Hino Semi Trailer” instead of "Hino Semi Tractor”. These early error castings are quite hard to find, and the bonus here is that it’s coupled with the a very hard to find tanker trailer. This means it is one the earliest models in this casting run. 

This is the first time in 20+ years ago that we’ve had one of these in stock, we’re pleased to offer it again.  It is in wonderful condition, with minimal playwear/edgewear for its age. If this was MINT, it would be priced at $90+
