Great news, the Johnny Lightning is back! It has been purchased and put back in the hands of the design and management team at Playing Mantis that revived the brand back in 1994. The result is Round 2, which is the release of new models in new color and packaging!

This is the beautiful 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 from the Classic Gold series. It is a stunning casting in terms of the quality of the detail. True to form, JL has the beautiful collector cards back in the package as well. Those cards have become a separate collector market themselves.
