TootsieToy (No. 1045) Greyhound Bus

This is the  (No. 1045) Greyhound Bus  from TootsieToy.   This is the early version with the entire bus painted blue, except the roof and grille. It was produced in 1942, later versions that were produced from 1943-1945 have the fender skirts and greyhound letters painted silver. So this is a very early, very rare version. 

This one has some edgewear. It retains approx 95+% of its original paint, and it rolls nicely. It is a great cross-collectible, so if you collect TootsieToys, Vintage Diecast, Greyhounds, or Busses this 70+ year old casting is an interesting find for your collection! The Mint version of this now routinely sells for $100+, you simply will not find a nicer one in this price range, if you could find one at all!
