This is a great find. This is the 1941 Chyrsler Windsor Convertible, and it’s the rare Red version from TootsieToy. This is from the TootsieToy 4” series. This was produced from 1947-1949, which is a short run for a TootsieToy casting. These were predominantly green or blue, it is rare to find the red variation.
This one has some playwear, yet it retains approx 80% of its original paint and it rolls nicely. It is a great cross-collectible, so if you collect TootsieToys, Vintage Diecast, or Chrysler this 60+ year old Windsor is a wonderful find for your collection! This has been priced to reflect the playwear; you simply will not find a better unrestored example for this price, particularly in this color, if you could find one at all!
