TootsieToy 1938 Buick Roadster

This is a beautiful find from TootsieToy's 4" series. It is the 1938 Buick Roadster. This was produced by TootsieToys from 1947-1949. That is a very short run for a TootsieToy casting. When you combine the short run with the desirability of a late 30's Buick Roadster, it is easy to see why this is one of TootsieToys most sought after cars!
This is does have some minimal edgewear. It retains 90+% of it's paint,however the paint has faded over time as almost all the yellow cars of this era of Tootsietoy have done. It gives the paint a very different looking patina. This is the color of this car that is the most sought after color of this rare Tootsitoy casting. It is priced well below the book value of a Mint version, if you could even find one. It is a presentable example of this beautifully crafted casting.  
It is a great cross-collectible, so if you collect TootsieToys, Vintage Diecast, Buick, or Ragtops this is a great find for your collection!
