This is the Mercedes-Benz from TootsieToy’s Midget series. These are approx. HO Scale, maybe a little bigger. Introduced 40+ years ago, this series was produced by TootsieToys from 1970-1977. This one is very interesting because it is a great example of the “less than perfect” paint spraying used on the midgets. You will see the paint is thick on the top, thin on the sides, and this one still has the extra paint “flash” on the windows. It is a great cross-collectible, so if you collect TootsieToys, Vintage Diecast, or Volkswagen this is a great find for your collection.
