This is the wonderful 49 Mercury Fire Chief Car from Tootsietoy’s 4” Series. It was produced from 1953-1960, and has become one of the most recognizable and collectible vintage fire chief vehicles. This one has a fair amount of playwear, but the light is fine and it rolls nicely. We have priced this at less than half the current book value of a Mint piece, you will not find a nicer example at this price. If you collect Mercury, Fie Vehicles, Tootsietoy, or Vintage Diecast this is a chance to add a beautiful piece to your collection.
