Tootsietoy Twin Coach Bus (Rare, Rare Rare!)

This is one of the rarest, hardest to find Tootsietoy castings, in a very rare color for this casting. In our twenty + years of dealing in Vintage toys, we have only seen one of these green Twin Coach Busses. This is the beautiful 1949 Twin Coach Bus from Tootsietoy’s 3” Series….in Green!  This was produced from 1949-1950, and that one year run is what makes the casting hard to find. Almost every one you will see is yellow, with only a handful painted either green or blue. This has some playwear yet retains all of its original paint on the sides, with the only paint loss being on the roof. If you are an avid Tootsietoy collector, you know that the Mint version of these auction for well over $90 these days. We have priced this at less than half of thebook value of a mint version of this color, to accurately reflect the paint wear. You will not find a nicer example at this price, if you could find one at all.  If you collect Busses, Tootsietoy, or Vintage Diecast this is a chance to add a beautiful piece to your collection.

Collectors Note: We would highly recommend that this bus be left in this original condition, and not restored. Restoration would hurt it’s value, it is much more valuable as is, given the rarity of the casting and color.
