Tootsietoy 1956 Ferrari Racer

This is the beautiful 1956 Ferrari Racer from Tootsietoy’s 6” Series. It was only produced during the early 1960’s. This has some edgewear, yet retains 99% of its original paint. There was some debate internally here at GDD about whether the unpainted drivers head was original, or a replacement. However one of our Tootsietoy aficionados showed us several of his collection with the same unpainted head, one of which is still in its original packaging.  Therefore we know they were produced this way, but we can’t be certain if this is an original or not. Therefore we have priced this well below the current book value of a Mint piece to reflect the uncertainty. One thing we are certain of, you will not find a nicer example at this price. If you collect Ferrari, Open Wheel Racers, Tootsietoy, or Vintage Diecast this is a chance to add a beautiful piece to your collection.
