TootsieToy No. 231 Postwar Chevy Coupe

This is a beautiful find from TootsieToy. It is the 1947 Chevrolet Coupe from the TootsieToy. It is  3” in lenght. This was produced by 1947-1952.

This one is in very nice condition with minimal playwear. It still retains 80+% of its original paint, and the wheels roll nicely.  These early postwar cars went right into the hands of children, who did not see many new toys during the war years. As a result, they are very difficult to find. We have priced this to reflect the playwear, however we would be remiss if we did not point out how hard these are to find. We sell many, many Tootsietoys and this is the first one we have had in stock for almost ten years.  It is a great cross-collectible, so if you collect TootsieToys, Vintage Diecast, or Chevys this 63 year old casting is an interesting find for your collection! You simply will not find a nicer one in this price range, if you could find one at all!
