Tootsietoy - Rare HO Scale Promo - GMC Coast to Coast Stores Promo

If you are a serious Tootsietoy collector than you know that this truck is not only part of the Holy Grail of Tootsietoy collecting (The rare Private Advertising Semis), but this is one of only four HO Scale GMC Trucks. These were private labeled by Tootsietoy as promos for the respective companies. There are no records of how many firms ordered these or in what quantities, but there is one thing that is know for certain, they are the hardest Tootsietoys to find, and collectors fight over them in any condition

In this case we are fortunate to have found a good one, because both labels are intact! It does have some paintwear, and it’s missing the rear doors…….but that just doesn’t matter because both labels are intact!!!  We have however priced this well below the current auction value of $200+ for these trucks.  You simply will not find a nicer example at this price, if you can find one at.  If you collect Promos, Tootsietoy, or are looking for a period correct Truck for an HO Scale layout this is a chance to add this a beautiful piece to your collection.

Collectors Note: We would highly recommend that this truck be left in this original condition, and not restored. Restoration would hurt it’s value, it is much more valuable as is, given its rarity.
